R-Photo was from China of a Truck crash in fog which caused a traffic jam. The cars were left for 9 days
A- No authority because we don't know who made it and were it came from
P- Petrol prices are too high and we should do something about it.

Why would people share this:

• Angry that fuel prices are going up in there area
• If prices keep going up ditch your car in the street
• Stop government increasing prices or people will do something

The Treaty Of Waitangi

Learning Objective: Understand what the Treaty of Waitangi is and why it is important.

What I already know: I knew that the treaty of Waitangi is a signed agreement between the maori and the british and you get a day off for it.

What I found interesting: How it took so long for the treaty to get signed.

What I would like to know: Why it took so long for everyone to sign it.

Critical Litracy Vocabulary

Agenda- List of items, or given perspective.
Authority- someone who is an authority on something knows a lot about it.
Bias- someone who favours one person or thing unfairly.
Credible- is someone or something credible you can believe it.
Manipulate- to influence or control people or events.
Perspective- a particular way of looking at something.
Reliable- a person or thing that can be trusted to do what you want.
Source- the person, place or thing that someone comes from.

English 2019

Today in English i found out how people think of teenagers. They think that we do nothing but stare at a screen. Although for some people that may may be true, but for others that could be quite offensive. Not all teenagers spend all their spare time staring at a screen, they may sometimes but that's just this generation.

Dinosaur post

On Wednesday for science we did this,
Mixed plaster of Paris with water in cups.
Then we added a toy dinosaur and waited two days.
Then today we Excauated with pestle and nails.

EOTC Week: Reflection

Last week we had our EOTC Week for the Year 8's. First we were supposed to have our first day at Omaka Scout Camp. But due to poor Weather  it was postponed to the next Tuesday. The next day we visited Rehua Marae and then visited the Christchurch Museum. The next day we went to Omaka Scout Camp. The next day (My Favourite Day) we visited Adrenaline Forest & Spencer Park. On our final day we went back to Omaka Scout Camp.

My favourite activity was either Adrenaline Forest or Tubing at Omaka Scout Camp.
Hardest thing was facing my fear of heights at Adrenaline Forest.
I learnt how to put on a harness.
I learnt something really big about myself I am QUITE SCARED OF HEIGHTS.

About My Favourite Activity: At Adrenaline Forest there are 7 Levels, 1, 2, 3, 3b, 4, 5 & 6. I got to 4 but due to my fear of heights I couldn't go higher. There are things like Flying Foxes, Tight Ropes, Ropes swings and more.
