Who is in your group? Myself, Austin, Michael and Matthew. We are thinking of using the Guitar, Piano, Drums and other percussion.

What song and why? We were thinking we will do We Will Rock You by Queen because it seems quite straight forward.

What is the song about? The musical tells the story of a group of Bohemians who struggle to restore the free exchange of thought, fashion, and live music in a distant future where everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same. Musical instruments and composers are forbidden, and rock music is all but unknown.

What will we work on first? Finding what instruments everyone wants to use

Peter Bence:

Peter Bence (Hungarian: Péter Bence; born 5 September 1991) is a Hungarian pianist, composer and music producer. He has gained considerable popularity with his piano arrangements of Despacito (Fonsi/Yankee/Ender), Michael Jackson, Queen and Sia collecting over 500 million video hits and a popular following on his YouTube channel and Facebook page. Kind of but kind of not because someone (not saying who) took my song as well.

Sergei Rachmaninoff:
Sergei Vasilyevich Rachmaninoff was a Russian composer, highly skilled pianist and conductor of the late Romantic period, some of whose works are among the most popular in the Romantic repertoire. Born into a musical family, Rachmaninoff took up the piano at age four.

Liberace:

Piano. I chose the piano because I feel like I have the most experience with that instrument.

Voice

Favorite Singer?
Justin Beiber, I don't  really know why but I just like him.

Four Voice Types:
Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass.

Soprano voices are subdivided into coloratura, lyric, dramatic and mezzo. COLORATURA soprano have unusually high voices and specialize in performing music coloured by ornamentation, runs and rapid passages requiring great agility.

Alto and Contralto are used synonymous, though contralto sometimes seems to carry the connotation of a particularly deep alto voice. 

Tenor voices, like soprano voices, sometimes are classified according to type. Robusto (robust), lyric, dramatic and heroic are adjectives commonly attached to tenors.

Baritones, like mezzo-sopranos, are in competition with the most prevalent voice types of their sex. They cannot hope to impress audience with extreme range or feats of brilliance.

Matt Barus is a NZ music artist and has been going since the late 90's. His inspirations was Jeremy Taylor singing 'Hallelujah'. He is from Christchurch NZ

Matariki Research

Traditions:
In Aotearoa/New Zealand, the star cluster is known as Matariki. This name is a truncated version of the saying “Ngā mata o te ariki Tāwhirimātea” meaning “the eye of the god Tāwhirimātea” - and there's a growing trend to celebrate its pre-dawn rising at this time of the southern winter as the Māori New Year.   

History:
Matariki literally means the 'eyes of god' (mata ariki) or 'little eyes' (mata riki). According to myth, when Ranginui, the sky father, and Papatūānuku, the earth mother, were separated by their children, the god of the winds, Tāwhirimātea, became so angry that he tore out his eyes and threw them into the heavens.

Celebrations: 
In the Māori language Matariki is both the name of the Pleiades star cluster and also of the season of its first rising in late May or early June. This is a marker of the beginning of the new year.

What did I play and why?
I played the start of Havana on the keyboard because that was one of the only things I knew.

How did I feel about my performance?
I felt quite nervous but once I played it I felt better.
