Why I Should Paint My Room, Persuasive Writing

For the past 3 weeks I have been writing a persuasive text about why I want to paint my room. I has taken me awhile but I am very proud of it.


Why can’t I paint my room? I want my room painted because it will make my room cooler and make my family and friends jealous. I might have a hidden talent in art and my Mum and Dad just haven’t seen it yet.



I’m the one that spends time in there. The people that live in my house don’t spend most of their day in there I do. All of my things are in my room so if I get paint on them that’s my problem. I won’t make my parents deal with it.

I am the person that keeps it clean and tidy. It’s not like my Mum, Dad or anyone else in my family keeps my room tidy. If I make a huge mess I would clean it up not my parents and I wouldn’t need them to help me either.

I should be allowed to put some of my interests on my wall. My interests entertain me, so why can’t I have something that entertains me on my bedroom wall? Some days I might be really bored and then look at my wall and it gets me excited again.

So that’s why I think I should paint my room. I hope you were listening to that mum and dad. So now you know what’s coming when I ask.

Lucky Book Club Work

Yesterday and Today I have been doing on Lucky Book Club work.  What we had a number of decimal activities and we had to solve them using the newest Lucky Book Club.

Ultimate Top Team

Today  from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm the hole senior syndicate had top team. Top Team is when you have heaps of activities and you and your team have to complete them and you get points for it and the team with the most points gets a certificate. In my team was Dom, Natalia, Lauren, Ryan And Phoebe and we were team 7. 

 First we had to line up in our teams in the shade. In our fist activities we had to use wooden pieces of NZ and use them as lily pads to get past cones and then build the map and then  build NZ with those pieces. A few activities later we were done. Out of everything the water activities the water ones were my favorite. 

I thought top team was amazing because it evolved water and we got really wet.

Today  I made another picture and i think it is an improvement on my one from yesterday.

Today I worked on coordinates graph and my pal Austin answered it.

First I made a table on google drawing and put numbers by it.

Then it made the key and put pictures on it.

Operation Snowman

Today I was on a website that made a snowman but you had to use maths to build it.

You had a question and you had to figure out what strategy you had to use to solve it and if you get right you get a part of the snowman.

Why Scooting In Schools Is Good, Persuasive Writing

For the past few weeks we have been learning about persuasive writing. When we were done that we had to mark it.

Persuasive writing is when you are trying to convince someone to do something.

I wrote it about how scooting should be allowed in school.

The thing I found challenging was marking my work

In my opinion kids should be allowed to scooter at morning tea and lunch times. There are some bad things but there are some good things as well, and I have got a lot of good reasons in my bag.

Here are two reasons why It gets people motivated to get out of the classroom. It could be a good bonding time for you and your friends. And it gets you and your friends moving  and getting fit and health. It could persuade you to make new friends at the same time.

Most people agree that people are learning to take risks in a safe environment. When you're learning you keep persisting and persevering. You are also stepping out of your comfort zone which is a good thing because a lot of people don’t do that. Plus you are trying new things.

Scootering is a good sport, it’s fun and you teach others and others teach you. It’s a good leadership opportunity for you and others. It is also a good learning time, What is bad about learning? I also  think that it is something different for the playground

Overall there are more reasons you should be allowed scooter in schools than there are for you shouldn't be allowed which is why I think scooting should be allowed in school.
