Descriptive Writing

A tornado of fish swirling around a branch shaped like a slingshot. The slippery creatures slipping down the cat's throat. Pressure is piling on the cat as it is feeling that feeling you feel when you are about to pass out. The circulation of the cat’s paw is cutting. It looks like the predator is stalking it’s prey. The green reeds are swirling around with the water. I’m sure all the cat can smell is rotten fishy water, wet cat and fish poop. The scared cat is meowing for help as it desperately wants air. Air bubbles are popping like a Guy Fawkes display.

Time For A Nap Literacy Presentation

Mintie Experience Writing

For the past few weeks we have been doing experience writing and it was about minties. We tasted minties and then used our senses to describe the experience.

I couldn’t stand not being able to open the lolly that looked like a Christmas present called a mintie. Dool was escaping my mouth from looking at the rectangular prism. I was so sad I couldn’t put it straight into my mouth, I wanted to cry:(

It smelt like a mix fresh mint bubblegum and paper in the rapper. It felt squishy but at the same time hard as a brick. Looking at it I could see the colors of Christmas. I was more excited than a boy on Christmas morning.

When I opened the sounds of bacon sizzling in a pan reached my ears. When I took the Mintie out of the wrapper I felt soft smooth sides with sharp edges. Once the wrapper was removed the smell of eclipse mint hit my nose.

An explosion happened as I put the mintie in my mouth. My taste buds were having a New Year's celebration. It was delicious. I had to use my tongue to get the delicious lolly out of my teeth. As I was chewing on the mintie it was swirling around with my saliva. It was so fresh I felt like I had just brushed my teeth.

After I was finished I wanted more and more. I guess I couldn’t get another and once again I was sad:( I think I am the biggest fan of Minties.

Stuck On A Plane

Today I made A piece of Writing about me on a giant paper plane it is not finished yet but I am proud of it. The first thing we had to do is look at the picture that Mrs Raisin showed. Then we had to write about if it was us that was on the giant plane. This is my writing

I woke up and found myself on a giant paper plane as it was zooming through space and had three questions for myself.
Did I Shrink or did the plane become giant?
How am I breathing in space?
How did I get here?
The first two questions could wait so I think very hard and tried to remember…

It was a sunny Tuesday Morning I woke up on my birthday and went straight outside to find my Mum and Dad so I could open my presents but found a giant paper plane with all my presents on them. I hopped on to open them but then the plane started drifting into the air. I tried to yell for help and then my Mum and Dad ran out and said “It’s OK we set the plane up to come back once you have been around the world” I said “how long will that take” and they replied “about 5 years”. At that point I could no longer see them. I fell asleep and that brings us to this point.

Today we made a google drawing about Sight, Sound and Motion. Fist we had to explore other peoples blogs to find blog posts with sight, sound and motion. Next we had to write why they were in that column.
