Act One Scene One:

1. Antonio is depressed without knowing why. What two possible reasons do his friends suggest? He worried about his boats and He's sad because hes not happy

2. Do you think Gratiano’s contributions help Antonio’s mood? Not really
   
3. What are your first impressions of Bassanio? He's poor
   
4. Is he in love? Maybe

Act One, Scene Two

1. How do Portia’s first words compare with Antonio’s?  One’s depressed ones tired
2. What is the reason for her mood? All of the men chasing them.
3. Do you think Nerissa is a help to her? Not really, I feel like she was just annoying her
4. Sum up, in a word or a short phrase, Portia’s attitude to her suitors so far. Ungrateful.

Act One, Scene Three:

1. Shylock is a moneylender. Does he seem eager to do business with Bassanio? How do you know? Yes because he knows what he gets if he dosent get payed back
2. Which does Shylock think is safe, his business or Antonio’s? Why? Because its a win, win situation for him.
3. Why doesn’t Shylock want to dine with Bassanio and Antonio? Hes a Jew and Jews dont eat pork
4. What strict principal of his is Antonio breaking to help Bassanio? He agreed to get a pound of flesh cut out instead of getting charged interest
5. Shylock tells a bible story to prove that the taking of profit is blessed, as long as thieving is not involved. Does he convince Antonio? Give evidence. No because Antonio never likes charging Interest
6. Shylock accuses Antonio of a whole catalogue of nastiness. How does Antonio answer the charges? He says he may do that stuff again
7. How does Bassanio react to the proposed bond? He dosent want Antonio to do it

In Science a few days ago we looked at an onion skin but this is how we prepared it.

1. Gathered all the things we needed.
2. Peeled off the onion skin and placed it on the slide
3. Then we added a drop Iodine
4. Finally we put a cover slip on top and put under the Microscope

Parts of a Cell and the Jobs the organelles do!

Parts of a Cell:
Animal Cell- Cytoplasm, Cell Membrane, Nucleus.
Plant Cell- Large Vacuole, Cell Wall, Cell Membrane, Chloroplast, Nucleus.

Jobs of the Organelle:
Cytoplasm- Cytoplasm contains molecules such as enzymes which are responsible for breaking down waste and also aid in metabolic activity. Cytoplasm is responsible for giving a cell its shape. It helps to fill out the cell and keeps organelles in their place.

Large Vacuole- Large central vacuole in plant cells is to provide structural support; however, it serves other functions such as protection, storage, growth and waste disposal.

Cell Wall- The cell wall is the protective, semi-permeable outer layer of a plant cell. A major function of the cell wall is to give the cell strength and structure, and to filter molecules that pass in and out of the cell.

Cell Membrane-The cell membrane is a thin flexible layer around the cells of all living things.. In all cells, the cell membrane separates the cytoplasm inside the cell from its surroundings.

Chloroplast- Chloroplasts absorb sunlight and use it in conjunction with water and carbon dioxide gas to produce food for the plant.

Nucleus- The main function of the cell nucleus is to control gene expression and mediate the replication of DNA during the cell cycle.

Design Process of a new Classroom Layout

Yesterday at school we moved into our new buildings. These buildings took about a year to build and it was quite worth the wait. There are three new blocks. My class had to move 3 classes and I had to move into one extra class for Japanese. I didn't actually help move but lets not get into that. Our math's teacher told us to create a design process to make a new classroom layout.

Research:

For the research we looked up images of effective classroom layouts and this is what came up.

We like this desk layout because everyone can see the teacher and the teacher can see everyone clearly. There is enough space in the room for this layout. Everyone will be able to  see the board clearly and the TV clearly. Everyone is close and if you need help you can ask them.

We also like this idea of a classroom layout because everyone is close and it is easy to communicate. The teacher can speak quietly and not yell because the kids can actually hear the teacher and he can make the naughty kids sit up near the front.

Ideas:

Our Ideas with the layout the things we wanted it to include features like it being spacious. We wanted all the desks to be facing the TV and one of the Whiteboards so our teacher could explain to us and we could follow along.

Final Idea

We liked this layout because we felt it was the best for our class. It is spacious and the layout around the back is good so we can all see a Whiteboard and the TV. Video Explaining:

Overall I liked this project because I felt my class really got into it and had a good time.

Absurd Warnings

The goal for this task is to, Select 5-10 objects. For each object, write an absurd warning label that could be placed on the object when it is sold.

PG 3's:

Warning. If you are not a sporty person, then these shoes are not for you. Basketball players only, depending on who you are they may be lacking ankle support. User Discretion is advised.

Xbox Controller: Warning, this item may make your fingers cramp up. It makes your hand form into an uncomfortable position. Also this item is very easy to break and you also have to apply batteries about every 3 hours. User discretion is advised.

Air-pods: Warning this item may cause bleeding eardrums. They also might fall out and all that money you wasted on them is just gone. User discretion is advised.

Football: Warning this product may break your feet, when kicked the ball is that solid that your foot shatters into pieces. User discretion is advised.

GSW Jersey: Warning- this item is very dangerous. When worn not only is is very ugly it is the most uncomfortable jersey ever. When worn and out in public you are now known as a bandwagon.
