Electrical Device

In the holidays I used a toaster in many different ways and today I will finding out how toasters use electricity.

Toaster: An electric toaster takes in electrical energy from the power outlet and converts it into heat, very efficiently. If you want your toast to cook quickly, you need a toaster that radiates as much heat as possible each second onto your bread.

Digital Technology Reflection (TERM 1 & 2)

Term 1:

During Term 1 for Digital Tech our main focus was to create a game. We had a choice to develop it on
either Scratch or Gamefroot. I chose to use Gamefroot to develop my game. But when I was in class
working on my game I can say I wasn't the most focused and I didn't complete this assessment.

Term 2:

During Term 2 our main focus was on our app development. I was in a group with Andreas, Michael
and Andre. Our idea for an app was to make an app around 2K20 builds for MyCareer. The way our
app worked was we had the starting screen and then on from that we had a screen with all 5 positions
and once you clicked on one of them it took you to the different builds for the different positions.
Then we would have put the attributes to put for each different build but we didn't have time.
One problem we had with our group is Michael and Andreas were absent a lot of the time when we
had  this class.

My Experience:

This semester I really enjoyed my time in Digital Tech, my favorite aspect was the App development.
The reason I enjoyed it was the people I was working with and the way we worked together. I can't say
I didn't enjoy anything. One thing I would like to do next semester is 3D printing. I really enjoyed having
Mr Carter as the teachers cause hes a beast.

Art Reflection

In art for the last few weeks we have been working on lino prints. I first drew a bird on a piece of paper. Then I transferred it to a piece of lino, traced it and started cutting it out. First I cut out the outline of the bird and printed my first colour. I started with my lightest colour which was yellow. After I printed yellow I cut some more out and printed my next colour which was a dark green. Then for my final colour I cut some more out. My final colour was brown, this is my Final product,

One thing I could improve is the lining up on the prints and making sure they are in line.

SEXXY Paragraph

Today In English we worked on making a Sexxy Paragraph about a Close Up Shot from a scene in the Movie The Power Of One. Here is the Paragraph.

The close up shot was used effectively to show the intensity of the shot. We see the guard and Geel Piet and the weapon. The director used this shot to show the fear in Geel Piet eyes and the anger in the guards eyes. This shot made the audience feel empathy for Geel piet because we could see the fear in his eyes. In this shot we see the imbalance of power between the guard and Geel Piet which is something we see later on in the film.

Neutralization Experiment

This week in Science we have been doing experiments using Acids and Bases. The acid was Hydrochloric Acid and the Base was Sodium Hydroxide. For the first experiment we used Turmeric, Beetroot and Cranberry to determine if something was an Acid or Base. For the second experiment we used Universal Indicator to make the colours of the pH scale. Here is a Picture of both Experiments.

Maths this week

This week in Maths we have been working on Measurement. We were specifically working on Area and Volume. We were practicing by calculation the Area and Volume of different Prisms and sometimes different 3D Shapes. We were calculating the cross sectional are also.
