Bottle Rockets

Shape: The shape will help create less drag or wind resistance.
Image result for what fuel does a bottle rockets take

Fuel: It use's Water but it need's compressed air on top for it to actually work.

Flight Aerodynamics

Aim: To look at the 4 main forces of flying and how these can be overcome.

Plane type
How does it behave?
Time ( secs)
Paper sheet, drop

Went from side to side
2.71
Paper with fold down middle, drop

It fell straight down
1.25
Paper with fold and 1 paper clip, drop

It dropped then glided
2.06
Fold, 2 clips, rudder, drop
I dropped straight down

0.90
Fold, 2 clips, rudder throw
It glided and then did a flip

1.85

Findings:
The fastest was the Fold, 2 clips, rudder drop and the slowest was paper sheet drop.

Flight - 1

Natural:
Bugs
Dragons
Bats
Dinosaurs
Birds

Man-Made:
Balloons
Hot Air Balloon
Jet
Aeroplane
Helicopter
Rocket
Paper Plane
Kite
Broomstick

Definition:

Lift: The air pressure is greater underneath the wing than above and the aircraft/bird flies.

Drag: The force than effects the speed of an aircraft/bird. It can slow it down.

Thrust: The forward movement of an aircraft/bird.

Gravity/ Weight: The downward force of an object when it is above the earth.

Aerofoil: The shape of the wing on aeroplanes and some birds.

Bernoulli Effect: When a wing is in the shape of an aerofoil the pressure builds up underneath it and it begins to lift up the aeroplane.
