Winter Cinquain Poems

Last week room 5+6 made some cinquain poems. For the second line is two adjectives. The third line is 3 verbs and the fourth line is a 5 letter sentence. The fifth line is a synonym. This is my cinquain poem.

New Zealand Flag Debate

Last term we learnt about the New Zealand Flag Debate. We looked at our flag right now and we came up with our own ideas for the New Zealand Flag. First we made some prototypes of different flag designs. We had to think about the things that related to New Zealand and New Zealand's culture. when we were happy with our final prototype we coloured it in. Then we wrote a description about our flag. This is my final flag.

I chose the Union Jack because it represents the United Kingdom. I chose the stars because of the stars in the hemisphere . I did the stars red because it represents the Mana of the Maori culture. I did the blue because of the sea around us.
