What does it mean to be a good Mathematician?
What does it mean to be a good Mathematician?
In my opinion a Mathematician is someone who has studied Maths and are very good at what they do, which in this case is Maths. I also think a Mathematician is someone who carries a lot of knowledge of Math equations and how to solve them as well. A Mathematician is also someone who makes a living over Maths.

Maths: Circles
For the past two weeks for Maths we have been learning about circles and compasses.
A compass is a device in which you use to draw a circle and this is what it looks like
For the next week looked at Maori and Polynesian design. We had to create our own designs my first one was just using a compass and isn't really a cultural design.

The next two are of my brainstorms for my final idea.
The final one is my final design:

Research Project- Sustainability
Key Question 1: What is the environmental/social sustainability issue?
Antarctica and the waters surrounding it are under pressure due to it melting.
Key Question 2: What factors have caused this issue?
Global warming is causing the ice to melt and therefore antarctica losing it’s ice. This is the longest danger to antarctica. some ice shelves have collapsed due to global warming. Global warming is a slow increase in the overall temperature of the earth’s atmosphere. Global warming is caused by carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases.
Key Question 3: What will happen if this issue continues to degrade?
If all the ice covering Antarctica sea level would rise about 70 meters. The ocean would cover all the coastal cities. And land area would shrink significantly. Animals would loose their habitat and humans will therefore loose their homes.
Key Question 4: What are the possible solutions to this issue (either being currently done or could be done)? We could ban mining in the Antarctic and not kill any of the animals native or living in the antarctic. There are petitions about Global warming and climate change most specifically Greta Thunberg. She is leaving school every friday and going down to the Swedish parliament to argue with them to reduce emissions in accordance with the Paris agreement.
Conclusions:
Antarctica is melting. Global Warming is causing the ice to melt and therefore causing antarctica to lose its ice. If all the ice covering Antarctica sea level would rise about 70 meters. The ocean would cover all the coastal cities. Greta thunberg is leaving school every friday and going down to the swedish government and started a petition to stop global warming. By stopping global warming antarctica will stop melting.
