Must Do Questions:
- How does Ellie feel after the lawn mower incident? She is regretting it because she killed someone.
- How does she think the others will react to her story when she tells it? Shocked
- Homer says, “This is war now, normal rules don’t apply.. They’re the ones who tore up the rule book, not us”” What does this say about his character? What do you think of he validity of his opinions? It says that he is a strong person and that he doesn't blame anyone innocent because they all have to do some sacrifices and some strange things to survive.
- Fi talks about the ‘shadows’, during their reconnaissance. What are these shadows and what are the implications due to their existence? The shadows were people, but in Fi's eyes she couldn't see them fully enough so she called them the 'Shadows'.
- What pieces of evidence from the book inform the reader that this invasion wasn’t entirely peaceful? I think its the fact how the soldiers treat people and how you can see and hear such horrible things. Plus there was a lot of places that had been destroyed.
